Gold Coast Airport

Movements

Movement data is no longer updated on this page. Please refer to the Movements at Australian airports webpage or the WebTrak program for movement data.

The majority of operations at Gold Coast Airport are international and domestic regular passenger services. General aviation also operates from the airport, including both fixed wing and helicopter training and scenic flights.

There are a number of flying training schools based at Gold Coast Airport for both fixed-wing and helicopter training. Circuit training is conducted on alternating sides of the airport (east and west) but there may be exceptions when air traffic control needs to use one direction to maintain safe distances between arriving and departing passenger traffic. Whenever possible, controllers distribute the training circuits equally to the east and west.
